After unpacking your compressed sofa, it is normal for it to appear slightly flattened for the first few minutes — this is the very principle of vacuum compression. To speed up the recovery of its shape, start by completely removing the plastic packaging and leave the sofa at room temperature, ideally in a heated room rather than a cold one.
You can also gently pat the areas that seem the most compressed to help the air recirculate through the foam. Full volume recovery generally takes between 2 and 24 hours, depending on the room temperature and the time spent under compression.
Avoid sitting with your full weight on the freshly unpacked sofa immediately: let it breathe for a few hours for optimal results. Once it has recovered its shape, your sofa will regain exactly the look and comfort shown in the product photos.
